At the EHCCC Inselspital Bern we treat adults with congenital bleeding disorders caused by a lack of coagulation factors, especially patients with hemophilia A, hemophilia B, Von Willebrand syndrome and other rare factor deficiency diseases, or congenital platelet dysfunction (thrombocytopathies). As a centre of the highest care Level CCC (Comprehensive Care Center), our multidisciplinary team offers comprehensive integrated care for affected adults and carriers.

Patients with congenital bleeding disorders who enter the Inselspital via the emergency ward are cared for in consultation with the medical officer of the University Hospital for Hematology.
The regular consultation of patients with congenital hemostasis disorders during the hemophilia consultation hours is an important contribution to a patient-oriented and cost-effective treatment and guarantees them the latest information in connection with their treatment.
