First Com­pre­hen­si­ve Report of the Swiss Hae­mo­phi­lia Regis­try Now Published

We are proud to share a mile­stone for the Swiss Hae­mo­phi­lia Net­work: the first com­pre­hen­si­ve report of the Swiss Hae­mo­phi­lia Regis­try (SHR) has been published in the jour­nal Hae­mo­phi­lia.

This has been a true team effort. Sin­ce 2015, cli­ni­cal staff, hae­mo­phi­lia nur­ses, and pati­ents with their fami­lies across all 11 Swiss hae­mo­phi­lia tre­at­ment cen­tres have con­tri­bu­ted data year after year, making this report pos­si­ble. We are deep­ly gra­teful to all cent­re heads and their teams, and to the indus­try part­ners who have sup­port­ed the regis­try finan­ci­al­ly.

With 929 pati­ents and near­ly 5,000 pati­ent-years of fol­low-up, the SHR pro­vi­des a com­pre­hen­si­ve pic­tu­re of how blee­ding dis­or­der care in Switz­er­land has evol­ved over the past deca­de and how much it has impro­ved.

Loo­king ahead, a key prio­ri­ty is expan­ding the regis­try to bet­ter repre­sent women with blee­ding disorders, pati­ents with von Wil­le­brand dise­a­se, and tho­se with rare blee­ding disorders.
