The Hemo­phil­ia Cen­ter of the Uni­ver­si­ty Hos­pi­tal Basel cares for adults with known hemo­phil­ia or oth­er disorders of hemo­sta­sis. The Hemo­phil­ia Cen­ter offers com­pre­hen­sive lab­o­ra­to­ry diag­nos­tics and an emer­gency hema­to­log­i­cal ser­vice for hemo­sta­sis 24 hours a day.
If nec­es­sary, spe­cial treat­ments are approached in an inter­dis­ci­pli­nary man­ner with oth­er uni­ver­si­ty hos­pi­tals of the USB (e.g. orthopaedics, gas­troen­terol­o­gy). Spe­cial­ly trained hemo­phil­ia nurs­es offer dai­ly com­pe­tent care and advice in prac­ti­cal mat­ters of hemo­phil­ia treat­ment in the Hema­tol­ogy Day Clin­ic.
