First Comprehensive Report of the Swiss Haemophilia Registry Now Published
We are proud to share a milestone for the Swiss Haemophilia Network: the first comprehensive report of the Swiss Haemophilia Registry (SHR) has been published in the journal Haemophilia.
This has been a true team effort. Since 2015, clinical staff, haemophilia nurses, and patients with their families across all 11 Swiss haemophilia treatment centres have contributed data year after year, making this report possible. We are deeply grateful to all centre heads and their teams, and to the industry partners who have supported the registry financially.
With 929 patients and nearly 5,000 patient-years of follow-up, the SHR provides a comprehensive picture of how bleeding disorder care in Switzerland has evolved over the past decade and how much it has improved.
Looking ahead, a key priority is expanding the registry to better represent women with bleeding disorders, patients with von Willebrand disease, and those with rare bleeding disorders.
